“Marvell’s Milton: Paradise Lost and the Early Modern Sublime”

Professor N. K. Sugimura is an Official Tutorial Fellow in English at St John’s College at the University of Oxford. Her work is positioned at the intersection of literature, philosophy, and intellectual history, with a focus on early modern and eighteenth-century literature. She is currently finishing a book entitled ’Perplexity of Contending Passions’: Early Readings of Sublimity, Beauty, and Wonder in Paradise Lost.
