Miranda Saylor

Miranda Saylor is the Alice and Allan Assistant Curator of American Paintings and Sculpture at the Yale University Art Gallery. She specializes in the art of colonial Latin America with a focus on seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Mexico. Her research explores topics related to female piety, Marian imagery, visions, and translation. Her work has been supported by the Fulbright Program, the John Carter Brown Library, the Tinker Foundation, and the Center for Spain in America, among others. Before arriving at Yale, she completed her PhD at UCLA and worked at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Meadows Museum.
