Funding & Honors

EMST supports students in the combined program for conference attendance as follows:

International = up to $1500, Domestic = up to $750

This is per student, per year; if there are funds leftover, you can reapply  and we will try to meet your need. You must be *on the conference program* in order to get this funding.

(b) brief description of the conference activity

(c) budget breakdown

EMST provides first-year students in the combined degree up to $1500 in pre-dissertation summer funding for research travel directed specifically toward developing their dissertation projects. Proposals might include visiting archives, collections, or sites with relevant material. They might also include travel to connect with colleagues with whom you wish to engage at institutions abroad. Please note that this funding is not for general skill acquisition (e.g. paleography or language study).
